The waves of the ocean tapped lightly on the toes of Sandy Gardner. She walked along the beach, holding her brown flip-flops, just smiling. No, Sandy wasn't a pure California girl, but she had been here long enough to know how to crash the beach. There had been a lot of good times on this very beach for miss Sandy. Her first kiss with her husband happened here, the first time she really ever talked to her best friend Savannah, and where she figured Danial Loren out. This, to Sandy Garnder, was a very sacred place to be.
She smiled up a sky, the sun lightly hitting her pupils. She giggled and turned her glance to the ocean before she damaged her retinas. She had decided that she needed to be at the beach as much as she could, soaking up everything she was grateful for. Sandy was scared. She didn't want to lose anyone special in her life, and as screwed up as it was, she didn't want to die. No. She wanted to be something better than this. She wanted to live in a beautiful home with Steven and have a couple of rugrats.
Sandy finally sat down where she could still feel the tide on her toes, but her clothes were no where in danger. She set down her flip-flops and sighed. The sounds of seagulls chirping in the distance were sounds that she loved. Everything about this beach, she concluded, was magical. Sandy glanced down at the silver ring on her left finger and smiled. One of these days she had to bring Steven out with her. She knew he loved the beach too. She also thought about her friend Savannah. It would be great if she was there right now.
