It was a day like any other when Drew Scott finally dragged himself out of bed. Drew was definitely not a morning person, it took him a long while to adjust his eyes to the bright sun that was shining through a gap in the curtains. Stretching his arms high above his head Drew swung his legs off the side of the bed and finally began to wake up. Glancing at the empty space on the other side of the bed Drew remembered Alisha mentioning something about going into work early to make a phone call. As well as being a thirteener Lisha Grey also ran an up and coming record label 'Red Bedroom Records', it was her baby and something she worked hard on and was proud of and Drew was proud of her for achieving her goals. He really wished she would focus on that rather than being a thirteener, now she was pregnant Drew hated the idea of her putting herself at risk on a daily basis. Sure enough with the war going on every day was a risk but he wanted his fiance to keep a low cover and steer clear of danger and he worried every day about her safety and the safety of their unborn child.
Running a hand through his messy hair Drew got to his feet and made his way down the corridor to the bathroom. Turning the taps on he adjusted the temperature of the shower before undressing and stepping under the warm water. After showering he headed back to his room and grabbed a pair of jeans and plain t shirt from his closet. Choosing clothes was never that important to Drew, as long as it fit him and he was comfortable in it then he was happy. He could never understand Angie when she tried to educate him in the world of fashion, she was so funny the way she picked out her outfits and the attention that went into every item from a pair of shoes to a ring on her finger. Still she had taught him a little and he probably paid a bit more attention to what he wore than he used to.
Once he was dressed Drew grabbed his keys and a coat seeing as it was freezing winter outside and made his way out of the small house he had grown up with along with his mother, that he now shared with his wife to be. This house held so many memories for the Scott boy and he looked forward to creating more with Alisha and their child. He would be lying if he said he wasn't scared about being a father and the impending change to his lifestyle but he knew he could do it all with Lisha at his side. Besides he had plenty of friends to help out and his best friend Cora and her husband Jake, who also happened to be his half brother, had a four year old son who Drew looked after a lot so he knew he had some excellent advisors on hand.
Drew decided to go get some coffee and then surprise Lisha at her office, making his way down the street he stopped briefly at Gypsy's café where he ordered a large soy latte with extra shot for himself and a skinny latte with extra foam for Lisha. Drew amazed himself with the little things he remembered about Lisha, her coffee for example, her favourite eggs, the way she laughed nervously when she was embarrassed and how her nose wrinkles every time she tells a lie, I guess that's how you know someone is important to you. After grabbing the Styrofoam cups containing the hot caffeine fuel he exited the coffee shop and made his way to Lisha's office. Scaling the metal steps outside the converted warehouse Drew made his way inside and towards the room where his fiancé would be working. As he approached he saw her sat at the desk on the phone, walking closer he held up the coffee cups and gave her a cheeky smile before stopping a few feet from her desk.
